Virtual tour

Welcome to our online Open Day

Let’s start. Grab a cup of tea, sit back, and enjoy the tour.

We are delighted to welcome you to St Michael’s CofE Primary School. In normal times we would have looked forward to welcoming you in person, and you would have been guided around our school by a knowledgeable pair of Year 6 pupils. Sadly this cannot happen at the moment, so instead we are very pleased to share this webpage with you, to give you a taste of what life as a St Michael’s pupil and parent is like. With our wonderful staff and spacious grounds, St Michael’s really is a marvellous place to learn.

Please enjoy watching the video below. If you have any questions please email the school office and we will be happy to get back to you.

Your child’s journey

Throughout your child’s journey at St Michael’s they will be supported pastorally as well as academically. We would like to tell you about how we have kept the school community together during the pandemic and why we know that St Michael’s is a supportive environment for all children. If you look through this website you will see past and present videos, newsletters and curriculum planning to give you a clearer picture of what happens at St Michael’s CofE Primary.

We understand that our pupils must feel safe and secure in order to develop and thrive and to do this we really know and appreciate our children as individuals. We place great importance on all of our school community understanding and living by our vision, mission and values. We are a happy school community and as you look through our website you will see the wonderful opportunities children and parents have enjoyed of the past years.

The outcomes for our pupils are excellent and Ofsted reported  “Pupils value their teachers, typically saying they are ‘always kind and make things fair and learning fun.”  This is because our teachers are skilled at meeting the needs of all the children in their care and use different approaches to teaching.

Thanks to our beginnings as a farm school, we are situated on four acres of land – a unique feature for a London school.  We use the outdoor learning space in all lessons and we are lucky to have nature all around us.

We develop confident and happy children who are articulate, keen to learn and nurture their inner resilience and emotional security. I am proud of our school and its community, my children came here and I am even prouder that my son loved his education so much that he became a teacher too!

Welcome to EYFS

“At St Michael’s our children thrive in a warm, loving and stimulating environment. Our wonderful and experienced team are here to nurture and support your child to become an independent and successful young learner.
Our purpose built outdoor area is a favourite with the children and is filled with wonderful resources to ignite their imaginations and stimulate their love of learning. We have outstanding natural grounds that the children love to explore.
In autumn the children immerse themselves in nature, searching for conkers and acorns, building bug hotels and observing the leaves change.  In the spring we make use of the school allotment and grow our own fruit and vegetables. The children regularly tend to the allotment and once ready, they harvest their produce. The children learn how to write recipes for their harvest and use their recipes to cook.
At St Michael’s we truly get to know each and every child as an individual and support them to become exceptional learners and well-rounded, passionate and kind young people.”
