St Michael’s C of E Primary School is a Christian school for the community.
Please note we have applied for a variation to our admission criteria to take account of the pandemic it says:
* In the event that during the period specified for attendance at worship the church [or, in relation to those of other faiths, relevant place of worship] has been closed for public worship and has not provided alternative premises for that worship, the requirements of these [admissions] arrangements in relation to attendance will only apply to the period when the church [or in relation to those of other faiths, relevant place of worship] or alternative premises have been available for public worship.
We welcome children whose families attend a church or other faith institution, as well as those who live in the school’s locality.
- We offer 60 places in each year group from Reception to Year 6.
- We offer 50 places in the Nursery. This can be in the form of a 15 hour or 30 hour provision.
We changed our Admissions Policy in September 2018: we now give as many points for living in the area as for regular attendance at church.
We are seeking a balance between those who come from a Christian background and those living in the area who may come from other faith backgrounds or have no faith background.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and faith traditions. We do, however, expect that everyone who comes to St Michael’s will be fully supportive of the school as a Christian foundation.
