Remote Learning
If your child is isolating but well enough to learn from home please let the school know and we can arrange for the class teacher to provide a Google Meet with your child. On day one your child should log into their Google Classroom where work will be uploaded for them with a bank of suggested online resources and current class lessons and tasks will be available. From the second day the teacher will deliver teaching via a live stream. This is a good way for your child to connect with their friends and teachers and still be part of the learning. The school will make contact with you in the event of your class teacher not being able to stream any live lessons due to the impact of Covid-19 on staff in school, which may result in limited or less than previous live teaching sessions. Safeguarding If you have any concerns regarding the safety or welfare of any child please email the school at dsl@stmichaelsn6.com We are publishing some Remote Learning FAQs, to help parents and pupils. You can read them here: FAQs for the Remote Learning Policy Introduction Dear Parents and Carers, We are operating in extraordinary times which present different challenges for all of us. In these circumstances, learning and support for children has been organised slightly differently. We are embracing opportunities for online communicating, connecting and are learning from a distance on Friday afternoons. Learning from a distance is very different from learning at school but we are still available to guide and support you. Below are some very useful resources for all of the family.
