Each Friday parents receive a newsletter via Tapestry, this will inform you of the learning your child has done during the week. Along with this will be any important information and your child’s weekly homework task. Reception Homework
Every Friday your child will receive a phonics reading book. Please read this daily for 10 minutes. It is important to repeat reading books daily to increase fluency and reading confidence. When ready, your child will receive a pack of phonics cards to use at home. Please practise these daily. Each week the children are given a task to extend and consolidate in-school learning. This will be a practical, fun, shared learning experience incorporating the seven areas of the Early Year’s Foundation Stage curriculum. Once your child has completed their homework, please upload it to Tapestry by the following Wednesday. This is marked by the teacher and regularly celebrated during school and children share and take pride in their achievements.Reading homework
